WOODEN ROOF
CHURCH ST JOHN, OREI, EVIA
Description
The construction involved the complete reconstruction of the wooden roof of a traditional temple in the area of Orei. The project required precision and technical flexibility, as the roof had to be adapted to a non-rectangular floor plan, while respecting the character and function of the space.
The new construction was designed to meet the specific geometric requirements, while enhancing the long-term durability of the temple against humidity, thermal stress and natural wear and tear.
